Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Cyberspace Operations Acquisition Analyst to support the Cyber Warfare Directorate at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. You will coordinate acquisition activities, prepare decision-ready materials, and interface with senior leaders to advance cyber portfolio management.

The role requires 5+ years in DoD Acquisition, 2+ years in DoD Cyberspace Operations, and an active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to work onsite as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System; PMO/PEO experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of DoD Cyberspace Operations experience.
  • Understanding of the roles of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition & Sustainment, US Cyber Command, Service Cyber Components, and other cyberspace stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to prepare presentations and memos for senior DoW leadership.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of War, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of War, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of War (DoW). These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively.Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have a future need for a Cyberspace Operations Acquisition Analyst to support the Cyber Warfare Directorate within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Platform & Weapon Portfolio Management onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

The Cyberspace Operations Acquisition Analyst will support the Cyber Warfare Directorate, playing a critical role in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing acquisition analysis and coordination of business operations in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst will develop decision-ready material for senior leaders and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support cyber portfolio management responsibilities. In addition, they will be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and streamline acquisition procedures.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System, with a preference for PMO and PEO experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with DoWCyberspace Operations
  • Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition & Sustainment, US Cyber Command, Service Cyber Components, and other cyberspace stakeholders
  • Well-versed in preparing presentations and info/action memos for senior DoW leadership
  • Master’s degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.
Desired:
  • Previous experience supporting OSW, Joint Staff, or senior Service staffs
  • Experience supporting CYBERCOM
  • DAWIA Program Management (PM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Familiarity with the Software Acquisition Pathway
  • Understanding of AI, DevSecOps, and Agile
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $190,000.00/Yr.
