Job Description
The Warfare Systems team is currently seeking a Cyberspace Exercise Planner 2 to support an exciting new effort responsible for unifying the direction of cyberspace operations, strengthening DoD cyberspace capabilities, and integrating and bolstering DoD's cyber expertise.
This role supports ongoing operations within a combatant command. During periods of conflict, crisis, or other significant operational shifts, mission requirements may change rapidly. Work schedules and shifts may be modified to maintain essential coverage.
Responsibilities
- Exercise planning in the Cyberspace and/or Intelligence Community.
- Planning large scale military exercises.
- Writing training objectives, scenario development, and exercise performance assessments.
- Serving as the subject matter expert and managing planning, organizing, and coordinating drill and exercise programs related to cyberspace operations.
- Developing specific scripts of MSEL or simulation control injects that initiate situational training and field level exercises.
- Coordinating annual exercise requirements with multiple installations to develop exercise support requirements for higher headquarters approval.
- Preparing and delivering exercise concept/decision briefs for senior leadership related to exercise requirements.
- Developing schedules and assisting in preparing, administrating, and executing all levels of exercise training.
- Exercise planning conferences and exercise execution.
- Developing requirements for collective training and exercise events.
- Collaborating with exercise planning elements to establish objectives, priorities, and plans for joint exercise programs.
- Contributing to both designing and planning exercises by preparing and disseminating products such as exercise plans, controller/evaluator handbooks, MSEL, player briefings, After Action Reports/Corrective Action Plans, etc.
- Understanding strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and operational standards from applicable headquarters and stakeholders in order to develop exercise plans.
- Evaluating exercise training and assessing effectiveness to ensure training meets objectives and joint standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.
Must possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph for consideration.
