Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Cybersecurity Technical Writer to develop and maintain documentation for deployment diagrams, SOPs, manuals, and contract deliverables. You will write and edit technical material for hardware and software installation, configuration, and how-to guidance.

You will gather information from engineers and other experts, format publications, and ensure consistency with content management standards.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a technical author or editor of technical or scientific information.
Knowledge of grammar, formatting, and document configuration management.
Knowledge of basic concepts and writing technical copy for various types of documents.
Ability to prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides and manuals, and technical publications.
Ability to gather technical information and prepare written text.
Ability to use multiple word processing and presentation tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain documentation for deployment diagrams, SOPs, manuals, instructions and contract deliverables.
Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
Format technical publications from technical drawings, consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
