Job summary

Penn State University’s Department of Privacy and Cybersecurity Informatics (PCI) within IST invites applications for multiple open-rank teaching faculty positions beginning January 2027 at University Park, State College, PA. These are non-tenure-line term appointments with renewal potential.

Fully remote appointments are not permitted. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in residential, online, and/or hybrid modes, with potential graduate teaching; service to the university

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree by start date in information science, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Evidence of excellence in university-level teaching and a collaborative approach to curricular development.
• Commitment to teaching learners at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in residential, online, and/or hybrid modes; may teach graduate courses.
• Engage in university service as a teaching faculty member.
• Collaborate with PCI and IST faculty on curricular innovation and development.
