Job Description

*Position is currently located in Elkridge, MD and will likely relocate to another site in the National Capital Region by September 2025.*

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews by Group level ISSMs and Security Controls Assessors (SCA).
  2. Document security control implementations and gather artifacts supporting the RMF and ICD 503 Security Accreditation efforts.
  3. Understand and document architecture to write Systems Security Plans (SSP) / CONOPS.
  4. Collaborate with system owners, project managers, and engineering teams to produce A&A related documents such as Contingency Plans, User Guides, SOPs, etc.
  5. Manage POA&Ms and provide necessary artifacts for security assessments.
  6. Coordinate with contractor and customer personnel to facilitate A&A processes and achieve system authorizations.
  7. Monitor A&A projects and report on their status at all organizational levels.
  8. Support audit and compliance activities, providing recommendations for improvements.
  9. Perform technical reviews of security documentation and update plans considering emerging threats and policy changes.
  10. Assist with audit preparations and external reporting, ensuring compliance and security posture.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Technical training, certifications, or degree + 10 years
  • Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M at IASAE Level II
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain CI Polygraph
  • Location: On customer site
