Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to support UISCENTCOM. You will configure, tune, and maintain SIEM/EDR/SOAR platforms, including Splunk, and work in a Linux environment to safeguard critical assets.

You’ll collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, create dashboards, and implement automation for incident response. DoD 8140/8570 certs and 5+ years of related experience are desired, with US citizenship and TS/SCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize SIEM/EDR/NP controls; customize alert rules and detections.
• Deploy SIEM instances including clustered deployments and apps.
• Tune EDR policies and scanning parameters for better visibility and threat detection.
• Configure network access control policies for Comply-to-Connect.
• Maintain Splunk configs and apps in Linux environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers and interact with end users to gather requirements and create Splunk dashboards.
• Integrate cyber tools with various data sources and legacy systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, patches, and performance tuning.
• Provide timely support for SIEM, EDR, C2C, and SOAR incidents; escalate as needed.
• Conduct system audits and address vulnerabilities or misconfigurations.
• Deliver tool capability presentations to leadership.
• Develop and enforce configuration standards and security policies.
