Job summary

The Georgia Technology Authority seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist 1 to join the Office of Information Security. You will participate in security projects, align people, processes, and technology with the desired security posture, and support ongoing compliance and incident response.

The role requires collaboration with ISO and Cyber Section Lead, plus flexibility for after-hours work and statewide incident response travel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in CS/IT/Information Security or equivalent.
• 2+ years of technology leadership with emphasis on information security and data governance.
• Entry-level cyber certification within 12 months: Security+, Network+, Linux+, MTA, GISF*.

Responsibilities

• Assist with policy development and enforcement in line with laws, regulations and standards.
• Communicate cyber risks to management and stakeholders.
• Manage resources to meet IT and security goals and reduce risk.
