Job summary

Horizon Industries is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full-time position supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on enterprise software systems, security engineering, and agile collaboration with a team of experts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field, 7+ years of IT experience, and active Secret Clearance. Experience with Linux/Windows and SIEM tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks on information assurance problems within projects.

• Analyze information security requirements and apply analytical approaches to problems.
• Provide security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, and integration of information systems.

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineerfor a full-time position supporting our client Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for a Cybersecurity Specialistwho will be supporting Enterprise Software Systems for the DISA and working with a team of technical experts in an agile environment to support current systems and functionality for a suite of applications.

What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:

• Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized information assurance problems.
• Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to IA requirements.
• Analyzes information security requirements.
• Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning.
• Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing,
  demonstration, and integration of information systems.

What we would like to see on your resume/ Required Skills:

• Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience

Certification Required

• Four(4)years of experience maintaining Linux Operating Systems
• Four(4)years of experience supporting Windows Server Operating Systems
• 2 - 4years of experience supporting/using SIEM tools for incident response
