Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader in Houston to oversee identity and access management, cloud controls, and vulnerability management across IT/OT environments. The role governs Entra, Microsoft Defender, and related IAM services, while ensuring regulatory compliance and incident support.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in Infrastructure Security, 5+ years in cloud security, and 5+ years in IAM controls, with strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of Infrastructure Security experience.
• 5+ years of cloud cybersecurity controls management.
• 5+ years of IAM controls management.
• Knowledge of modern vulnerability, cloud, and infrastructure security tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides governance and oversight for cybersecurity controls.
• Manages cybersecurity controls, platforms, tooling, and MSP oversight.
• Governs IAM platforms such as Entra and Microsoft Defender.
• Overses identity lifecycle services and MSP-delivered capabilities.
• Escalates IAM operational issues as focal point.
• Ensures compliance with identity/access policies and external regs.
• Oversees access governance, PAM, MFA, SoD, and audits.
• Supports incident response and logging requests.
• Defines cybersecurity processes for IT/OT asset inventories.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational governance and control performance oversight for defensive and protective cybersecurity controls.
• Manages cybersecurity controls, platforms, tooling, and oversight of managed services.
• Governs and oversees IAM platforms such as Entra and Microsoft Defender.
• Oversees all identity lifecycle services and capabilities delivered internally or via managed service providers.
• Acts as the focal point for escalating IAM operational issues.
• Responsible for compliance to identity and access management related internal policies and standards, and external regulations.
• Oversees access governance, PAM, JIT, MFA, SoD, access reviews, and audit‑support services.
• Supports incident response and legal action requests, such as providing access logs.
• Defines and maintains cybersecurity operational processes for asset inventories for IT and OT environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8-10 years of Infrastructure Security including vulnerability management
• 5 years of cloud cybersecurity controls management
• 5 years of IAM controls management
• Strong knowledge of modern vulnerability, cloud, and infrastructure cybersecurity tools and platforms
• Understanding of modern data protection technologies
• IT/OT Cyber Security technical expert on existing IT/OT Cyber Security solutions and perform assessment on systems, processes and standards to define and/or endorse changes.
• Knowledge of IT Security and infrastructure technologies
