Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. in the United States is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to join our RMF-focused team. You will help develop SSPs, implement DISA STIGs, and coordinate security controls across Windows systems and Cisco devices.

You will conduct vulnerability scans using Nessus and ACAS, assist in site survey documentation, and help apply patches, DR, incident response, and authentication plans. The role requires strong communication and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with RMF, SSPs, and security control documentation.
• Background in Windows and network device hardening per DISA STIGs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review SSPs, security policies, and disaster recovery and incident response plans.
• Help create detailed site survey documentation.
• Configure Windows systems, applications, and Cisco IOS devices to STIG standards.
• Apply OS patches, service packs, and firmware updates.
• Support automated software update processes.
• Perform vulnerability scans (Nessus/ACAS) and SCC checks.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing technical controls and configuration settings and will work in a team environment alongside other cybersecurity engineers and Risk Management Framework (RMF) analysts responsible for supporting Information System Security Engineering efforts..

Responsibilities

• Helping develop and review System Security System Security Plans (SSP), Personnel Security, Disaster Recovery, Incident Responses, and Authentication Management policies and plans.
• Helping develop detailed and thorough site survey report documentation.
• Assisting in device configuration of Windows Operating Systems, Applications, and Cisco IOS devices to comply with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and other guidelines.
• Applying operating system patches, service packs, hotfixes, and software/ firmware updates.
• Supporting automated system software update methodologies and technologies
• Performing system vulnerability scans including Nessus / ACAS, and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)

Qualifications

Education:

• Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity
• High School Degree or GED with 6+ Years of experience
• Associate's Degree with 4+ Years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree with 0+ Years of experience

Certifications (one or more of the following):

• CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP

• Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and General Office Applications Skills.
