Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Software Engineer to protect internal and client-facing systems through secure software development, threat modeling, and incident response. You will work across teams to design controls and automate security tooling.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cybersecurity or software engineering, strong knowledge of standards (NIST, ISO 27001), and hands-on experience with C/C++ or C#.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related software engineering field.
• Experience mapping standards to CRA, NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 21434, NIST 800-53, RMF, etc.
• Experience in threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.
• Familiarity with Cybersecurity Resiliency Act (CRA) and security tooling.
• BS/BA/MS in CS/CE or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls and tools.
• Conduct threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure secure development lifecycle and products.
• Respond to security incidents and support investigations.
• Guide junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Assist in development and maintenance of employee cybersecurity training.
