The ideal candidate has hands-on OT experience with Modbus, OPC UA, and OPC DA, plus experience supporting modernization projects and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Cyber Security, IT/OT, Digital Engineering, or Industrial Control Systems experience.
• Strong experience with OT environments and industrial networks.
• Experience scoping and executing virtualization projects within OT environments.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern infrastructure.

Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Security / IT-OT Subject Matter Expert for a leading utilities client supporting enterprise Digital Engineering and Operational Technology modernization initiatives. This individual will play a key role in executing virtualization strategies, migrating legacy control systems to modern infrastructure, and supporting cybersecurity efforts across critical industrial environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience working with OT systems, industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and OPC DA, and hands-on expertise supporting infrastructure modernization projects. This role will partner closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and operational teams to drive technology upgrades, improve system reliability, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and support innovative digital transformation initiatives across critical power generation environments.

• 5+ years of Cyber Security, IT/OT, Digital Engineering, or Industrial Control Systems experience
• Strong experience with OT environments and industrial networks
• Experience scoping and executing virtualization projects within OT environments
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern infrastructure

Hands-on experience with Modbus, OPC UA, and OPC DA communications

• Experience supporting operator aid computer interface systems
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server/workstation administration
• Experience with system hardening, patching, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Ability to perform hands-on keyboard activities on operational technology equipment

Strong documentation, project coordination, and technical review skills

• Experience working with critical infrastructure, utilities, power generation, manufacturing, or highly regulated environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams -Nuclear power plant experience

• -Cyber Security Plan documentation experience
• -Experience performing Cyber Security Direct and Indirect Assessments for CDAs
• -Critical Digital Asset (CDA) assessment, documentation, and walkdown experience
• -Experience developing Access Control Forms
• -Knowledge of AD-EG-ALL-1931 documentation processes
• -Experience performing baseline documentation and CCS sheet completion
• -Familiarity with EZ-Auditor or similar data collection tools
• -Experience extracting information from SIEM, IDS, and baseline reports
• -Vulnerability scanning experience on operational technology assets
• -Wireless scanning and assessment experience
• -Experience with portable media and mobile device management
• -Backup and recovery documentation experience
• -CAS Work Management (WR/WO processing) experience
• -Experience supporting cyber audits, inspections, and OE actions
• -Knowledge of NERC CIP requirements and compliance programs
• -Experience providing digital engineering design reviews and cybersecurity inputs
• -Ability to obtain site-specific cybersecurity qualifications
• -Previous utility or power generation industry experience
• -Experience with WinVMS, WinPMS, or similar plant computer platforms
