Orion Talent is seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Administrator (Operational Technologies) to lead hands-on security for industrial control environments, with 5+ years in cybersecurity or 10+ for senior level, building a lab, installing, hardening and administering OT systems.

Ideal candidates will have OT knowledge, SIEM setup experience and ability to deploy endpoint detection from scratch, plus CISSP/GICSP or equivalent training.

Position: Senior Cyber Systems Administrator (Operational Technologies)

Salary Range: Level IV: $145 ,000 to $170,000

Job Description

This is a hands-on technical role for candidates with 5 years' experience or more or 10 years’ experience or more for the Senior opportunity. This position will focus on the efforts of building a lab for an industrial control systems environment. Candidates must be able to help with installation, hardening and administration of these systems. Advanced knowledge and experience managing cybersecurity tools such as NDR and EDR preferred.

• Knowledge of operational technologies (OT) is A MUST**
• SIEM set up experience is A MUST**
• Experience building endpoint detection from scratch is A MUST**

Job Minimum Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of OT cybersecurity architecture that supports various components of NIST cybersecurity framework capabilities, such as cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, identity management, threat intel, prediction and detection, as well as response and recovery.
• Understanding of nuclear engineering, licensing, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements preferred.
• Typically, five plus years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or related experience for a Level III or 10 plus years for a Level IV.
• Knowledge or experience in software engineering, software development, or utilization of a software development toolset.
• Must have direct knowledge and experience managing cybersecurity tools such as NDR, EDR, and SIEM.
• GICSP, GCIH, GPEN, CISSP, or equivalent, or other specific training or experience in cyber security operations, design, and engineering.
• Familiarity with standard principles and practices of cybersecurity design for safeguarded plants and facilities.
• Networking/IT systems engineering background and experience.
• Knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards related to cyber security in embedded system and control systems.
