Job summary

Novalink Solutions LLC seeks a Security Analyst (Consultant) for the South Carolina Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Cybersecurity. The role is hands-on, focusing on active defense, threat monitoring and incident response within an enterprise setting.

The successful candidate will lead junior analysts and collaborate with stakeholders to implement security controls, conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with CMS, NIST, COBIT and FedRAMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT Security or System Administration experience
• Experience with incident response procedures and practices
• Experience with security regulatory requirements and standards (NIST, CMS, FedRAMP)
• Hands-on SOC monitoring experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in SOC monitoring activities, tools and processes
• Provide hands-on support of OCS security tools
• Conduct threat hunts for evidence of compromise
• Monitor security technologies for alerts
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and analyze data
• Collaborate with multiple teams to mitigate security risks
