Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor Principal for its Corporate organization in Columbus, IN. You will strengthen the cybersecurity posture, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead threat mitigation efforts across IT systems.

The role requires 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience, CISSP preferred, and on-site work. You will mentor teammates, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive secure engineering practices to protect critical data and operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a college or university degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CISSP or similar certification preferred.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture by identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks and implementing controls.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks, governance practices and policies.
• Identify and mitigate threats by analyzing vulnerability and configuration data and recommending remediation.
• Influence secure technology design by partnering with cross-functional teams to embed security requirements.
• Enhance enterprise resilience by reviewing systems and architectures and recommending improvements.
• Provide trusted cybersecurity guidance to leaders by translating threats into actionable recommendations.
• Promote secure engineering practices to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
• Develop team capability and partnerships by mentoring staff and driving collaborative solutions.
