Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an OverWatch Research Intern for Summer 2027. The role is hybrid, with in-office days in Austin, TX or Arlington, VA and remote work as part of a balanced schedule.

You’ll engage in applied cybersecurity research, prototype development, and ML-focused threat hunting projects. The internship emphasizes growth through mentorship, hands-on project work, and exposure to security analytics, operating systems, and cloud concepts.

Qualifications

• Must be currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree with graduation in 2028.
• Programming experience with Python, Go, Java; familiarity with data analysis languages (R) considered case-by-case.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work both in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop technology to support cybersecurity threat hunting.
• Support a key machine learning project to enhance threat hunting capabilities.
• Contribute to ongoing R&D projects and collaborate with team members.
• Shadow team members to gain exposure to threat hunting methodologies.
