Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Research Intern to join the OverWatch SCAR team.

You will participate in applied research and prototype development at CrowdStrike's Austin, TX or Arlington, VA offices, with a hybrid remote work pattern and in-person collaboration twice a week. You will work under mentors on threat hunting research, machine learning applications, and tooling development, contributing to innovative security solutions while gaining hands-on experience in a leading AI-native

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, graduating in 2028.
• Cybersecurity-focused major or related coursework (CS, IT, IS, Gov, Informatics, etc).
• Programming experience is required.
• Key languages: Python, Go, Java.
• Data analysis languages such as R may be considered.
• Ability to learn quickly and work both on a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop technology supporting cybersecurity threat hunting.
• Contribute to machine learning projects enhancing threat hunting capabilities.
• Collaborate on various ongoing R&D projects.
• Shadow team members to learn threat hunting methodologies.
