Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking experienced cybersecurity researchers to solve challenging government, utility, and commercial problems. You will work on reverse engineering, malware analysis, and resilient networking, contributing to secure-by-design systems and cyber operations platforms.

Ideal candidates hold advanced degrees, notable experience in C/C++, Python, Java, and Go, plus strong Linux and networking knowledge. A Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility is preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• Expertise in reverse engineering and digital signal processing
• Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new areas
• Expertise in one or more: C, C++, Java, Python, Go
• Working knowledge of Linux, MacOS, Windows, and mobile OS
• Working knowledge of modern networking technologies
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD toolchains
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity research to protect mission-critical systems and national cyber infrastructure.
• Develop and test software tools for cyber defense, analysis, and experimentation platforms.
• Collaborate with DoD/IC communities on research projects and proposals.
