About the Role

A forward-thinking U.S. based company is actively hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Cyber Security Project Manager to lead, coordinate, and execute a range of cybersecurity projects across our organization. This fully remote position requires strong project management expertise, an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity practices, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward the successful delivery of initiatives aligned with business and security objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cybersecurity, hands-on experience managing security-focused projects, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, execute, and manage multiple concurrent cybersecurity projects (e.g., security audits, incident response planning, risk assessments, compliance initiatives, vulnerability management).
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security operations, development, compliance, and third-party vendors.
  3. Define project scopes, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
  4. Monitor and track project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs to ensure successful completion within scope, time, and budget.
  5. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate as appropriate.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 5+ years of professional experience in project management, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity or IT security projects.
  3. Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS), and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM, SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.).
  4. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
  5. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
  7. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, Trello, Smartsheet).
Preferred Qualifications
  1. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  2. CISSP, CISM, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
  3. Experience with cloud security projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  4. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
