Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Project Lead/Senior Information System Security Specialist to provide program management and cybersecurity support for FHWA duties. You will act as both Project Manager and ISSO, planning, executing, and reporting on security activities in accordance with PMBOK and RMF requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related technical field.
• CISSP certification (must be current and verifiable).
• Cloud-security certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure or similar).
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Strong PM and program management knowledge per PMBOK.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage project plans and reports.
• Coordinate program activities across stakeholders.
• Ensure work aligns with requirements and milestones.
• Prepare monthly quality and performance reports.
• Support DevSecOps integration and cloud security tasks.
