Job description

Our primary mission at Sedara is to provide customers with security services that offer value, protecting their environment, data, and employees. We aim to enhance understanding of security best practices, identify risks, and suggest mitigating activities and guidance.

This Cybersecurity Program Manager role involves managing Sedara accounts for the Cybersecurity Development Program, supporting other projects, and acting as a technical liaison between SOC teams and program delivery teams. Responsibilities include following NIST-based compliance programs, enhancing security maturity, providing prescriptive guidance on system implementations, identifying security issues, and managing incident response activities.

Responsibilities
  1. Act as client vCISO.
  2. Develop and execute security program plans with Security Engineers and SOC.
  3. Assess and improve clients' security postures.
  4. Remediate compliance audit findings and gather audit evidence.
  5. Design security processes and initiatives with minimal guidance.
  6. Document activities, policies, and procedures, and assist with their review and implementation.
  7. Collaborate with clients and peers to understand business needs and define secure solutions.
  8. Research and contribute to security strategies.
  9. Drive assignments to completion and monitor progress.
  10. Participate in product training and certifications.
  11. Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field; equivalent experience considered.
  2. 5-10+ years in IT/security.
  3. Security and network certifications preferred.
  4. Understanding of current IT security trends and technologies.
  5. Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, and related areas.
  6. Ability to develop and implement business processes.
  7. Strong team and project management skills.
