Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Product Owner in Cyber to guide strategic cyber products from vision to delivery. You will translate customer needs into actionable backlog items, drive risk-aware decisions, and collaborate with Engineering, Solution Architects, and Product Management to deliver secure, scalable capabilities.

You will bring deep cybersecurity knowledge, experience in product management, and a practical understanding of SAFe practices to lead cross-functional teams and optimize security

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology.
• At least 2 years of Cloud Security experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• At least 4 years of experience in product management.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the delivery roadmap to technology teams by inspiring the team through the product vision.
• Clearly articulate and advocate target persona, customer benefit, and value of features across teams.
• Leverage technical knowledge on how systems work and how code is built to support engineering teams in delivering value.
• Represent the voice of the customer to the engineering team using cybersecurity background and customer insights.
• Contribute to backlog development and prepare epics and stories for technical breakdown.
• Lead backlog refinement sessions and ensure requirements are well understood by engineers.
• Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes while balancing risks.
• Act as a technical advisor to product manager, engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
