Job summary

Connex Credit Union, Inc. seeks an Information Security Operations Leader to design, implement, and monitor its cybersecurity initiatives.

You will lead risk management, RMF processes, and incident response across Connex’s IT landscape, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to strengthen defenses. The role requires hands-on leadership with strong knowledge of RMF, vulnerability management, and cyber risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security or equivalent work experience.
• Industry certifications (CISSP/CISM/CISA) are preferred.
• Experience with RMF, threat/vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity initiatives across Connex with internal teams and vendors.
• Oversee audits, testing, budgeting, and project coordination for cybersecurity.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to controls.
• Develop and maintain RMF processes and security documentation.
• Collaborate to assess and authorize information systems using RMF.
• Design and implement information security policies and standards.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and threats.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Support remediation efforts and incident handling across the environment.
• Maintain records and generate security reports for executives.
