Job summary

Racine County seeks a Cybersecurity Operations Supervisor to lead a technical IT security team and oversee defense, detection, and response activities. You will drive threat intelligence, policy enforcement, and secure system design aligned with standards.

Responsibilities include incident response planning, vulnerability assessments, and 24x7 security event monitoring. Strong leadership, communication, and hands-on security expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience with cybersecurity focus.
• Minimum 3 years cybersecurity experience required.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with penetration testing methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and develop a team of technical IT professionals
• Manage and prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines and allocate resources
• Protect Racine County information, assets, and operations from disruption, disclosure, or destruction
• Design and build secure IT systems with reference architectures, config standards, and compliance
• Review cybersecurity information to determine usefulness for intelligence
• Collect and analyze information from applications, endpoints, and networks to identify vulnerabilities
• Assess threats and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation countermeasures
• Develop and update policies and procedures affecting cybersecurity operations
• Keep leadership informed and disseminate cyber threat assessments
• Develop and execute incident response and postmortem exercises with measurable benchmarks
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan
• IDS monitoring and analysis; analyze network traffic and logs
• Monitor and respond to security events 24x7
• Assist in developing security awareness materials and trainings
• Other duties as required
