Job summary

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to monitor, triage, and respond to security events across critical applications and infrastructure. You will support 24/7 on-call ops, analyze alerts from SIEM and security tools, and coordinate remediation with IT teams.

The role requires 3+ years of security infrastructure experience and relevant certifications; hybrid schedule allows WFH up to two days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining security infrastructure applications.
• Experience using ticketing workflows to document, track and resolve security work.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to validate detections and coordinate remediation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and investigate security tools and systems for threats and breaches.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for security monitoring and incident response.
• Configure and tune security monitoring tools including SIEM and EDR.
• Deploy and evaluate security solutions with internal and external teams.
