Job summary

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time term faculty member in Computer Science with a strong background in cybersecurity and computer networking to join the faculty beginning January 2027 (Spring semester).

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, networks, and general CS, and help develop the Cybersecurity Lab for student projects and experiential learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, or a closely related field; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and computer networking.
• Ability to develop hands-on cybersecurity and networking laboratory activities.
• Willingness to teach foundational CS courses and specialty cybersecurity/networking courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, networks, and related areas.
• Teach additional CS courses as needed.
• Support and develop the Cybersecurity Lab.
• Develop hands-on cybersecurity and networking labs and activities.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students on academics, internships, and career opportunities.
• Contribute to curriculum development in cybersecurity, networking, cloud computing, and server technologies.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines on curricular initiatives.
• Build relationships with regional employers and stakeholders to enhance student learning.
• Participate in department and university service activities.
• Pursue academic scholarship in the field and/or teaching.
