The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialist, performing as the Major Command (MAJCOM) Security Control Assessor (SCA), (GS-2210-13), working at the Headquarters (HQ) Air Mobility Command (AMC), Scott Air Force Base (AFB), Belleville, Illinois.
Salary ($109,137 - $141,880) based on experience.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
In this position you will serve as the SCA In Accordance With (IAW) Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Air Force (AF) IT for AMC, supporting the AMC Commander in his/her role as MAJCOM Authorizing Official (AO) for AMC information systems. You will conduct independent cybersecurity assessments, validate security controls, and advise on risk decisions to ensure mission assurance and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AMC information systems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Top Secret/SCI” Security clearance
Must obtain & maintain an Information Assurance certification within 6 months of assigned duties
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
Qualification within the Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) is a condition of employment. The incumbent must meet Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assigned duties and resident qualifications within 12 months.
