Erias Ventures seeks a Lab Manager to lead design, deployment, and testing of secure cloud infrastructure (Red Hat focus) across hybrid/multi-cloud environments. You will drive automation with IaC tools and collaborate with security teams to meet government standards.

The role requires 7+ years in lab management or systems administration, strong scripting (Bash, Python), and experience with AWS/Azure/GCP. Active DoD Secret clearance or TS/SCI preferred; DHS suitability be pursued.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• Minimum BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

Description

We have an immediate need for Lab Manager to provide provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of cloud-based infrastructure and services, with a focus on Red Hat-based systems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Design, deploy, and test scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Red Hat technologies
• Implement and test IaaS/PaaS solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Automate provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Red Hat Satellite
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policies
• Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
• Stay up-to-date with OpenShift and Kubernetes advancements, providing recommendations for improvements
• Examine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.

Clearance

Must be a US Citizen. Must have a current TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.

Required skills:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
• 6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)

Desired skills:

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration
• Understanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environments
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II
