Job summary

Ports North seeks an Interim Cybersecurity & IT Risk Lead Consultant to establish and mature the security program in a fast-growing infrastructure environment in Dallas. You will lead governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, partnering with executives and building scalable controls across IT and OT domains.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in cybersecurity leadership, hands-on risk management, and experience with SOX, IAM, PAM/PIM, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, information security, IT risk, or security consulting.
• Proven track record maturing cybersecurity programs in growing organizations.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, PAM/PIM, Microsoft Entra, and cloud/endpoint security.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security operations, and incident response.
• Experience managing MSSPs and external service providers; SOX knowledge a plus.
• Ability to lead strategically while contributing hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity governance, risk management, and policy design.
• Develop a strategic security roadmap aligned with business growth.
• Establish security metrics and executive risk reporting.
• Oversee IAM, PAM/PIM, and related access controls programs.
• Manage MSSPs and external security partners; drive vendor accountability.
• Coordinate incident response activities and post-incident remediation.
