Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an IT Security Analyst/DevSecOps Engineer Intern to join a growing global IT organization.

You will help protect networks and systems while integrating security into the software delivery lifecycle. The role offers hands-on experience with security testing, incident response, CI/CD security, and collaboration with development teams to address vulnerabilities early in the cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3+ years in information security or related IT role.
• 2+ years in DevOps or DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, CIS Controls.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
• Proficient with identity federation protocols including OIDC and SAML.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell; knowledge of Git.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks for security issues and investigate breaches.
• Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop security standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security measures.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and SDLC.
• Assist in incident response and forensic analysis.
• Provide security awareness training for employees.
• Prepare security reports documenting issues and mitigations.
