Job summary

TECO Energy, through its Tampa Electric internship program, offers hands-on cybersecurity experience for college students. The selected candidate will assist with security documentation, risk tracking, vulnerability reviews, and coordination with partners in a large-scale technology environment.

The role is part-time and based in Brandon, FL, with 20–30 hours per week and a strong focus on learning security practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Co-op program enrollment required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documenting and tracking cybersecurity requirements, controls, risk items, findings and remediation actions.
• Support reviews of user access, roles, permissions and related evidence.
• Help organize security findings, test results, exceptions and follow-up actions; escalate when needed.
• Develop and maintain procedures, inventories, diagrams, meeting notes and other cybersecurity artifacts.
• Support security communications and collaborate with ADI, Technology, vendor and business teams.
