American Century Investments in Kansas City, MO is offering a Cybersecurity Intern program for rising undergraduate seniors. You will join the Cyber Operations security team to learn incident response, phishing, data loss prevention, and AI security activities in a corporate setting.

This onsite internship runs June 2 through August 6, 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, with mentorship, casual dress, and social events. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Role Summary

As a Cybersecurity Intern you will be brought on to our team to learn the ins and outs of the Cyber Operations security team within a corporate setting. Your projects and training will be focused on incident response, phishing, data loss prevention, and AI security activities that will uphold the security and operations of the firm. You will also learn about defining and detailing security processes and procedures in a corporate setting. Interns for this group will act as first responders alongside their peers for cyber incidents that come in, to provide critical assessment of each report. You will apply the knowledge you have acquired from your coursework and from the mentors within your team toward meaningful opportunities and projects.

This program is for currently enrolled undergraduate rising seniors who will graduate in December 2027 - Spring 2028. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2026. Location: this onsite position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office. Program dates: June 2nd – August 6th (10 weeks). Work schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm). This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

You are an incoming senior enrolled in an undergraduate program within Cybersecurity, Information Security, Data Security, AI Security, or a related field.

Passion for gaining experience with Information Security and Risk Management.
