Job summary

UCLA Extension seeks cybersecurity instructors to teach courses in its Cybersecurity Certificate Program, with in-person instruction on the UCLA Westwood campus.

Instructors will deliver lectures, demonstrations, labs and applied exercises, update materials to reflect current threats, and provide timely feedback and student support in a welcoming learning environment. You will use Canvas for administration and collaborate on curriculum updates, joining onboarding and faculty meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in roles such as SOC Analyst, Security Engineer, Penetration Tester, Cloud Security Specialist, Network Security Administrator, or Cybersecurity Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience with security tools, frameworks, and methodologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, NIST CSF, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Availability to teach in person on the UCLA Westwood campus.
