Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services is seeking a seasoned DoD cyber training support specialist to enable GSM-O II TN25 execution. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and validating training objectives across joint training cycles for DoD and COCOM partners.

The selected candidate will leverage expertise in Joint Training System, cyber exercise planning, and performance measurement to ensure readiness and successful mission outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 to 12 years of applicable combined education and experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
• Comprehensive understanding of the Joint Training System per CJCSI 3500.01 and CJCSM 3500.03, JTIMS, JLLIS, and DRRS interfaces to support Joint Readiness

Responsibilities

• Provide cyber exercise planning support across the Joint Event Lifecycle (JELC) and draft cyber scenarios to meet command objectives
• Identify, support development of, and manage training objectives within JTIMS
• Coordinate with team members and apply analytical methods to measure effectiveness of training objectives and scenarios
• Support the Joint Training Plan (JTP) and Joint Exercise Plan (JEP) by aligning objectives to events
• Plan and participate in internal/external events to meet command readiness, including Tabletop Exercises and ROC drills

Position Overview

This position will support the DISA GSM-O II Task Number 25 (TN25) Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC). GSM-O II provides network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of the DoD and COCOMs. The selected candidate shall execute in real time, determine how to use military capabilities in time and space to achieve objectives while considering the associated risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cyber exercise planning support for all assigned events throughout the Joint Event Lifecycle (JELC) by linking training objectives to internal and/or external events in order to meet annual assessment requirements. This may include hosting meetings to coordinate internal and external requirements, drafting exercise related orders, to include the initiating and execution directives, maintaining the exercise SharePoint planning portal, representing the command at the JELC events to incorporate command objectives, identify gaps, and gather external requirements, and drafting cyber scenarios with sufficient detail to meet command exercise and training objectives
• Identify, support the development of, and manage training objectives within the Joint Training and Information Management System (JTIMS)
• Coordinate with team members and apply analytical methodologies to develop measurements of effectiveness/performance for training objectives and operational scenarios
• Support the development of the Joint Training Plan (JTP) and the Joint Exercise Plan, (JEP) by aligning training objectives to events that support assessments and Command readiness
• Support the planning of internal / external events to meet command readiness requirements to include planning, organizing, coordinating, and participating in Tabletop Exercises (TTXs), rehearsal of concept (ROC) drills, and daily operations.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 to 12 years of applicable combined education and experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Joint Training System as outlined in Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 3500.01and Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 3500.03, how it is maintained through the JTIMS, tracked in JLLIS, and interfaces to support the Joint Readiness process through the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)
• Critical/logical thinking skills
• Advanced communications and presentations skills (verbal and written) enabling precise conveyance of information across all CC/S/A/FA with command and proper enunciation of the English language

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• ITIL v3 Foundation certified

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and eligible for C/I Polygraph

Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $115,000

Salary Maximum: $175,000
