Job summary

Florida Digital Service in Tallahassee leads critical enterprise security engineering for the Florida State government. The Engineering Team Lead directs detection engineering, telemetry selection, and data quality across SIEM, data lakes, and SOAR platforms to support SOC operations and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of cybersecurity/engineering experience.
• Experience in leading and mentoring technical staff.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining SIEM detections.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and operational oversight for cybersecurity engineering.
• Oversee SIEM detections, telemetry pipelines, and data quality.
• Direct day-to-day engineering operations supporting SOC and modernization.
• Coordinate with architecture and SOC leadership on modernization initiatives.
