Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the Cybersecurity Technology Engineering (CTE) team, plan, supervise and direct engineering functions, and collaborate with CTE managers to define the strategic vision. You will provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure security protocols protect NFCU's data, assets, and brand.

You will oversee firewalls, IPS/IDS, NACs and microsegmentation, approve production changes, manage ~15 engineers, and drive the future direction

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in network or cybersecurity engineering; 10 years preferred.
• Led a network security team or served as a technical manager.
• Experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, and ISE and change control.
• Expert knowledge of cyber security systems engineering lifecycle.
• Strong communication and ability to work with staff, management, vendors and members.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical manager for firewalls, IPS/IDS, and network controls.
• Review and approve production change requests.
• Manage a team of about 15 network security engineers.
• Provide vision for the enterprise cybersecurity posture.
• Oversee deployment of new infrastructure and migrations from legacy systems.
• Oversee daily operations for firewalls, NACs, and IPS/IDS.
• Standardize network security policy management.
• Act as escalation source for on-call engineers.
• Brief senior leadership on team activities and incident response.
• Liaise with auditors and drive documentation and processes.
