Job summary

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will monitor in real time, hunt threats, remediate vulnerabilities, and engineer security solutions aligned with organizational risk.

The role collaborates with IAM, IT Infrastructure, App teams, and business partners to strengthen security posture. Requires hands-on security operations, scripting, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in cyber or IT security operations and intrusion detection.
• Experience with SOC tools like SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, firewalls, DLP, and IAM.
• Hands-on knowledge of vulnerability management, patching, and secure configurations.
• Familiarity with data classification and protecting sensitive data.
• Knowledge of IAM, PAM, Zero Trust concepts, and authentication tech.
• Strong endpoint security understanding and exfiltration prevention.
• Ability to perform incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain tech to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certification in Security+ / CySA+ / SSCP / GCIA / GCIH or Cloud Security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, networks, endpoints, and cloud.
• Operate SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, firewalls, DLP, and related tools.
• Lead vulnerability management: scanning, prioritization, remediation planning, tracking.
• Perform advanced threat hunting using IOC, TTPs, and anomaly analysis.
• Ensure security requirements are embedded in architecture and deployments.
• Support incident response with containment, forensics, and corrective actions.
• Develop playbooks, automation scripts, and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Maintain security dashboards and metrics to show risk reduction.
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
• Contribute to policy and procedure improvements.
