Job summary

ClearHarbor Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Riverside, CA to safeguard enterprise systems, networks, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes risk assessment, security controls, and threat monitoring using SIEM, with incident response support.

You will collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into architecture, SDLC, and operations, while aligning with NIST/ISO/PCI frameworks and security best practices. On-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity, information security, security engineering, vulnerability management, incident response, or security analysis.
• Knowledge of computer networking, network protocols, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, firewalls, authentication, access controls, encryption, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events with SIEM tools by analyzing logs, investigating alerts, and coordinating incident response and recovery activities.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities and security risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support system hardening, security assessments, and threat detection efforts.
• Design and maintain network and cloud security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, IAM, encryption, and EDR.
• Assist with security compliance and documentation aligned to NIST, ISO 27000/27001/27002, PCI, and other frameworks.
• Work with engineering and IT teams to integrate security into architecture, system administration, and the SDLC.
