Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science related field with a focus in Cybersecurity from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience and industry certifications.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity, network, and information systems engineering.
  • Technical certifications demonstrating knowledge: Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CEH, CCNA or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience with administering K12 enterprise applications and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and improves core security functions including threat detection, incident response, and monitoring at an enterprise scale.
  • Reviews incident reports and anomalous activity, providing escalation paths for security incidents.
  • Keeps abreast of federal, state, and industry requirements and applies tools and processes for security detection and analysis.
  • Manages data loss prevention, SIEM, privileged account management, and data encryption initiatives.
  • Coordinates cybersecurity protocols across the Technology Division and oversees security training, LDAP/SSO integrations, and SSL certificate updates.
