Job summary

GovCIO in San Antonio, TX seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to perform RMF, STIG implementation, ACAS and other cybersecurity activities onsite at Lackland AFB. You will design and implement information assurance and security systems, conduct vulnerability analysis, mandatory certifications, POA&M management, and coordinate RMF documentation across system life cycles.

This role demands strong collaboration with government stakeholders and the ability to apply DoD standards in a fast-paced defense

Qualifications

• Clearance required: TS/SCI.
• Strong RMF workflow tool knowledge (Xacta, eMASS) and STIG implementation.
• Experience with the Air Force Security Impact Analysis Process.
• Experience with Air Force network rules and guides.
• Expert understanding of STIGs, STIG Checklists, STIG Implementation, and POA&M for non-compliance.
• Experience with network management tools and network analysis.
• Complete understanding of Assessment & Authorization process.
• Proficient in current computer security requirements and compliance.
• Experience maintaining System Security and Risk Mitigation plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems.
• Assesses and mitigates threats and risks across the program life cycle.
• Validates system security requirements and establishes designs.
• Implements security designs in hardware, software, data and procedures.
• Performs security certification, accreditation planning, and testing.
• Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain and track RMF documentation.
• Review Security Impact Analysis.
