Job Overview: We are seeking a fully remote Security Engineer based in Ireland or India with expertise in Penetration Testing and Application Security to integrate security into the software development lifecycle for our enterprise clients. You will advise product development teams on defence strategies, conduct architectural reviews, security code reviews, and penetration tests, and help remediate security issues in legacy and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct penetration tests and application security assessments.

  • Perform architectural and security code reviews.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software lifecycle.

  • Identify and remediate complex vulnerabilities and security defects.

  • Stay updated on current security threats and countermeasures.

  • Provide guidance on mitigating application security risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Penetration Testing, Architecture Review, Threat Modeling, and Code Review.

  • In-depth knowledge of application security issues and their mitigation.

  • Proficient in a broad range of programming languages and security tools.

  • Experience in reverse engineering and using related tools (debuggers, disassemblers, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading application security assessments.

  • Expertise in penetration testing for mobile, IoT, and backend services.

  • Experience with reverse engineering (IDA Pro, Java/.NET disassembly).

  • Experience with building or supporting software security programs.

  • Relevant security certifications and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
