Job summary

CarMax is seeking a cybersecurity professional based at the West Creek Home Office in Richmond, VA, with 1–5 years of information security operations experience. The role requires delivering security solutions, collaborating with IT and business teams, and maintaining a high-security posture.

You will work on on-site security operations, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and engage in continuous improvement of security processes.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in information security operations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent education/experience
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, Security+, CCNA or CCNP Security are preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep current with technology and client industry
• Implement, develop, operate, and improve cybersecurity solutions
• Provide functional and technical expertise on cybersecurity projects
• Develop security-related processes and procedures to improve security posture
• Drive tasks and projects to completion through effective project management and IT coordination
• Triage support problems and respond with appropriate urgency
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed
