Job summary

CarMax is seeking a cybersecurity operations professional to implement and operate security solutions at its West Creek Home Office in Richmond, VA. The role emphasizes collaboration with IT and business teams, project delivery, and maintaining strong security postures.

The position requires 1–5 years in information security, a related degree, and relevant certifications. On-site work four days per week is expected, with US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in information security operations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, Security+, CCNA or CCNP Security preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux; cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Desire to keep current with technology and client industry.
• Implement, develop, operate, and improve Cybersecurity solutions.
• Provide functional and technical expertise on projects requiring Cybersecurity services.
• Gather information to develop security processes and improve CarMax security posture.
• Assist in driving tasks to successful completion through project management and IT coordination.
• Triages support problems and responds with appropriate urgency.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
