Our client is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer II to join their team!


POSITION SUMMARY


This position designs, develops, configures, implements, tunes, maintains solutions, and resolves technical and business issues related to cybersecurity threat & vulnerability management, identity management, security operations center, forensics, and data protection. Cybersecurity Engineers work with Cybersecurity Architects to execute strategic cyber initiatives, evaluate security components of the network, applications, and end-user devices, and provide guidance to ensure new systems meet regulatory and technical standards. Cybersecurity Engineers participate in root-cause analysis efforts to determine improvement opportunities when failures occur. Manage Cyber systems, ensure they are tuned, on the current release, and manage appropriate change management across the IT organization and the business.


CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Leads in the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Provides technical expertise and support for cybersecurity solutions, including operational aspects of software, hardware, and network/firewall.
  • Designs, implements, and ensures compliance of secure configurations for applications and infrastructure.
  • Conducts technical assessments of systems and applications for policy, standards, and regulation compliance.
  • Develops and evaluates security policies and procedures.
  • Serves as technical lead for cybersecurity projects, including scope, implementation, tuning, and operational support.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams and interacts at all staff levels.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring excellent service delivery.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Four to six years of experience in enterprise security engineering, preferably in healthcare.
  • One to three years of healthcare environment experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in IT operations, automation, scripting, documentation, and use case development.
  • Experience with cyber product assessment, vendor selection, and requirements definition.
  • Proven ability in planning, designing, and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance mandates such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Understanding of Security Engineering Principles, risk management, vulnerability management, NIST, MITRE ATT@CK, etc.
  • Expertise in Data Loss Prevention, EDR, Antivirus, Threat systems, SIEM, CASB, Cloud Security, etc.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills; ability to mentor team members.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts and respond to after-hours notifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications such as SSCP, HCISPP, Security+, CISSP-Engineering, CEH, GIAC, or CISA.
  • Over three years in System Administration, Security Operations, IT Operations, or risk management in healthcare.
  • Additional education or related experience is a plus.
