Job summary

Lumbee Holdings is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide software assurance testing and cyber engineering support at Camp Pendleton, CA. The role focuses on static/dynamic code analysis, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening across DoD programs.

Candidates should have 5+ years in cybersecurity, experience with Python/C/C++, and a DoD RMF/ STIG background. Active DoD Secret clearance is required, with travel under 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 2+ years with tools such as FTK, Wireshark, Autopsy.
• 1+ year coding in Python, C/C++, Ruby.
• Desired: IAT Level I or II certification.
• Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Desired: CSSLP or OSED or equivalent certification.
• Experience with DoD RMF, STIGs, and ACAS/Nessus vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software assurance testing expertise and cybersecurity engineering support across offensive findings and engineering analysis.
• Perform static and dynamic code analysis, code reviews, and Security Posture Assessments.
• Develop detailed mitigation recommendations for vulnerabilities identified during assessments and scans.
• Provide system hardening guidance based on STIGs and best practices.
• Analyze systems to improve detection, response, and logging configurations.
• Produce DCO System Playbooks outlining incident response tailored to assessed systems.
• Run ACAS vulnerability scans and propose remediations.
• Draft client reports explaining findings and engineering rationale for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other cybersecurity engineers to ensure implementable recommendations.
