Job summary

Lumbee Holdings, partnered with SG2 Recruiting, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the MCTSSA Cyber Branch at Camp Pendleton, CA. The role focuses on software assurance testing, vulnerability management, and DCO integration to strengthen Marine Corps systems.

You will deliver mitigations, STIG guidance, and incident response playbooks, interfacing with offensive findings and engineering changes. On-site, full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• 2+ years using forensics/analysis tools such as Wireshark, FTK or Autopsy.
• 1+ year coding/scripting in Python, PowerShell, or similar for automation.
• On-site work at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Responsibilities

• Develop vulnerability mitigation strategies tailored to Marine Corps programs of record.
• Provide STIG-based hardening guidance for Windows, Linux, Cloud and network environments.
• Enhance DCO capabilities through system analysis, logging, and sensor placement improvements.
• Create and implement DCO system playbooks and incident response procedures.
• Run ACAS vulnerability scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation actions.
• Automate security tasks using PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python for reporting and analysis.
• Draft technical reports for non-technical stakeholders.
