Job summary

Glint Tech Solutions seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer for the Dahlgren, VA onsite team. Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required to support DoD cybersecurity efforts across Windows and Linux environments.

You will harden systems, manage vulnerabilities with ACAS, implement STIGs, apply patches, and maintain compliance with DoD directives, collaborating with admins and security teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent (4 years cybersecurity experience accepted in lieu of degree).
• Active DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Current IAT Level II Baseline Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform system hardening in line with DoD requirements and best practices.
• Implement and maintain STIGs on servers, workstations, and networked systems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS and analyze scan results for remediation.
• Remediate findings through configuration changes and vendor patches.
• Support compliance with cybersecurity directives, policies, standards, and security management guidance.
• Maintain documentation related to security configurations, remediation efforts, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with system admins, network engineers, and security teams to improve security posture.
• Assist with cybersecurity inspections, audits, assessments, and accreditation activities.
