Job summary

Credence is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as SME for DoD authorization, ensuring compliance with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP IL5 GovCloud. You will support planning, design, development, testing, and integration of information systems and maintain audit readiness.

You will collaborate with ISSM/COR/PMO to achieve and sustain ATO while briefing senior management and supporting annual audits. Requires 8+ years C&A, DoD accreditation, and US citizenship with clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field required.
  • Eight (8) years of C&A experience with RMF and NIST.
  • DOD cybersecurity experience accreditation.
  • Experience assessing security controls and authorization reviews for large, complex orgs, esp. in cloud.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP IL5 GovCloud environments.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: IAM Level I.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Defense Secret Clearance; active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the overall DoD implementation of its authorization process and cybersecurity policy.
  • Authorize information systems or act as SME for systems undergoing authorization.
  • Assess controls and determine severity values for vulnerabilities impacting authorization.
  • Brief senior management on progress of authorizations.
  • Collaborate with Government ISSM/COR/PMO to achieve and sustain ATO.
  • Gather artifacts for annual DLA Audit reviews.
