Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a U.S. Department of Energy contract in the Washington, D.C. area. You will provide cyber intelligence services to identify threats and protect energy sector partners.

Required are 5–12+ years in enterprise IT/OT security, cloud security, RMF/NIST 800-53, and active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance. Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, Azure or AWS Security are also expected.

Qualifications

• 5–12+ years designing, implementing, or securing enterprise IT and OT environments.
• Experience with cloud security, Zero Trust, RMF, NIST 800-53, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
• Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and continuous monitoring.
• Security+, CISSP, Azure Security, AWS Security, or equivalent certifications.

Job description

Amentum is seeking Cybersecurity Engineer to support our U.S. Department of Energy contract. Positions will be based in the Washington, D.C area.

Work Schedule:

5 days, 8hrs

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence (CI) services to deliver timely, actionable, and relevant threat intelligence on hostile nation-states, cyber adversaries, and criminals seeking to conduct malicious cyber activities against U.S. energy sector partners.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 5-12+ years designing, implementing, or securing enterprise IT and operational technology environments.
• Experience with cloud security, Zero Trust, RMF, NIST 800-53, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
• Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and continuous monitoring.
• Security+, CISSP, Azure Security, AWS Security, or equivalent certifications

Security Clearance Required:

• Active TS/SCI or DOE Q

The base salary range for this position is $126k to $200k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
