Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to translate information security requirements into secure designs across IT components and systems. You will translate regulations and environmental conditions into system security processes and help develop security architectures and roadmaps.

Ideal candidates bring DoD 8570 IASAE certification, TS/SCI with poly, and 5+ years in government or industry cybersecurity. On-site Virginia location with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of related professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the government or industry within cybersecurity.
• Compliance with DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification requirements.
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph upon hire.

• Support development teams designing and developing information systems, including upgrades to legacy systems.
• Conduct product research and support Analysis of Alternative (AoA) activities to identify appropriate security solutions.
• Assist with system concept development and contribute to the capability phase of the systems development lifecycle.
• Translate technology and environmental conditions (including law and regulation) into system security designs and processes.
• Help develop and document Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and investments.
• Oversee work performed by Mid- and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience in the government or industry within cybersecurity.
